Instructions
Prepare the Pretzel Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Stir until the pretzels are evenly coated.
Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form an even crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
Make the Cream Cheese Layer
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup of sugar using a whisk or electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the whipped topping gently until fully combined, creating a light and fluffy mixture.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
Prepare the Strawberry Jello Layer
In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir for about 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Add 1 cup of cold water to the jello mixture and stir to combine.
Add the sliced strawberries to the jello mixture and stir gently to combine.
Pour the jello mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the jello is fully set.
Notes
For best results, ensure that the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. You can also use sugar-free jello for a lighter version.
