For the Decoration
1cupcolorful sprinklesvariety of shapes and sizes
Instructions
Prepare the Strawberries
Wash the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry to help the chocolate adhere properly.
Melt the Chocolate
Set up a double boiler by placing a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl.
Stir the chocolate mixture continuously with a spatula until it is fully melted and smooth. This method prevents the chocolate from burning and ensures a silky texture.
Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Dip the Strawberries
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
Immediately sprinkle colorful sprinkles over the chocolate-coated strawberries before the chocolate sets. This will help the sprinkles adhere better.
Set and Serve
Place the decorated strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat the dipping and decorating process until all strawberries are coated.
Once all strawberries are dipped, refrigerate them for about 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
Serve chilled on a platter for a festive Easter treat!
Notes
For best results, use fresh strawberries that are firm and ripe. You can also experiment with different types of chocolate, such as white chocolate or dark chocolate, for variety.
