Description

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 12 fresh strawberries (ripe and washed)
  • Lollipop sticks (12)
  • Optional: Food coloring (a few drops)

Instructions

  1. Rinse strawberries under cold water and pat dry thoroughly.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Stir until dissolved, then bring to a gentle boil without stirring.
  3. If desired, add food coloring to the syrup as it bubbles.
  4. Once the syrup reaches 300°F (150°C), dip each strawberry by its stem into the syrup until fully coated.
  5. Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper and let cool for about 10 minutes until hardened.
