  2. Turn off the slow cooker and let the milk cool to about 110°F (43°C).
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the plain yogurt with a small amount of warm milk until smooth, then whisk this mixture back into the slow cooker.
  4. Cover the slow cooker with a towel to maintain warmth and let it sit for 8 hours or overnight.
  5. After culturing, transfer the yogurt to containers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
