  • 1 oz red food coloring (gel)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in granulated and brown sugar until combined. Let cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the buttery mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. Add red food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
  5. For the cheesecake layer, beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.
  6. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, dollop cheesecake batter on top, then add remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
