Description

Pull-Apart Jelly Donuts are a delightful treat that combines warm, fluffy dough with sweet, gooey jelly filling. Perfect for brunch or as a unique dessert, this recipe transforms simple ingredients into an irresistible indulgence that will have everyone coming back for more. Each bite offers a nostalgic taste reminiscent of childhood bakery visits, making it not just a dish but an experience to share.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup jelly (your choice, like raspberry or strawberry)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar. Sprinkle in the instant yeast and let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape into golf ball-sized pieces. Layer them in a greased bundt pan, adding dollops of jelly between layers.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving and enjoy!
