- 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Chop onion and bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, and black pepper. Add beef strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until tender (about 5 minutes).
- Push veggies to one side of the skillet; add marinated beef in batches and cook until browned (about 3 minutes).
- Mix cornstarch with beef broth; pour over cooked beef and veggies. Stir until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
