- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar (150g)
- 3 large egg whites (about 100g)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
- 1/2 cup Nutella (150g)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until frothy; gradually add granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form, about 5-8 minutes.
- If using food coloring, gently fold it into the egg whites until evenly distributed.
- Carefully fold the sifted dry ingredients into the egg whites until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space in between.
- Let the piped shells rest for about 30 minutes until they form a skin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until firm but not browned; cool completely before filling with Nutella.
