Ingredients

  • Large shrimp (fresh or frozen)
  • Spaghetti or linguine
  • Broccoli florets
  • Fresh lemon zest and juice
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic cloves
  • Black pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Add broccoli florets and cook until tender-crisp (3-4 minutes).
  4. Stir in shrimp, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque (4-5 minutes).
  5. Combine cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
  6. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional black pepper if desired.
