  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 medium onion (grated)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita breads (warmed)
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup fresh vegetables (diced tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb or beef with grated onion, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties about 1 inch thick and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with olive oil. Cook each patty for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  4. While cooking, prepare your toppings by chopping the fresh vegetables.
