  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted melted butter
  • ½ cup molasses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter until combined. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in molasses until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
