  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in milk until combined.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
  4. Fill a piping bag with the batter and pipe 3-inch rings onto parchment paper.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry each cruller until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
