- 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 medium sweet onion, sliced
- 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup zesty marinara pasta sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for topping)
- 1/4 cup sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Spread fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake according to package instructions until golden brown (25-30 minutes).
- While fries bake, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper; cook for about 4–5 minutes per side until browned to your liking.
- Remove steak from pan and sauté onions and bell peppers in the same skillet until soft (about 5 minutes).
- Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Once fries are done, layer them with sautéed veggies and sliced steak, then sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Return to oven for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve hot topped with marinara sauce, green onions, and sour cream.
