  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water (for cornstarch slurry)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and sesame oil until blended.
  3. Place the chicken pieces in the crockpot and pour the teriyaki sauce over them, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir this into the crockpot and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
