- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast over it and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add melted butter and eggs; combine well.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap for about an hour.
- Prepare filling by mixing sugar and cinnamon in one bowl and setting chocolate chips aside.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (½ inch thick); spread softened butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture and chocolate chips evenly.
- Roll tightly into a log, slice into even pieces using dental floss, and place in a greased dish. Allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
