  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 8 oz pasta of your choice (fettuccine or penne recommended)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: chop chicken into bite-sized pieces, mince garlic, and cut broccoli into florets.
  2. Cook the pasta: boil salted water in a large pot, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Sauté the chicken: heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and brown until cooked through (7-10 minutes).
  4. Add garlic and broccoli: stir in minced garlic and broccoli florets into the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. Create the sauce: pour in soy sauce and half a cup of reserved pasta water; stir to combine.
  6. Combine everything: add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce.
