  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (divided)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss the cherries with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and half of the cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, remaining cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the chilled butter until crumbly.
  4. Pour the cherry mixture into an 8-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Top generously with the oat mixture.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until bubbling and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
