Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 8 soft slider buns
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Tartar sauce or remoulade for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, gently combine crab meat, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and green onions until just mixed.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties (about 2 inches in diameter) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Cook each crab cake for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Lightly toast slider buns in another pan until golden.
  6. Assemble sliders by spreading tartar sauce on the bottom bun, adding a crab cake, and topping it with fresh lettuce or slaw.
