  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, and egg until just mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes.
