- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
