Description

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups diced apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are slightly underbaked.
  6. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
