Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the angel hair pasta and cook for 2-3 minutes until al dente. Drain the pasta but reserve some cooking water.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), then add cherry tomatoes. Cook until they soften and burst.
  3. Combine the drained pasta with garlic and tomatoes in the skillet. If necessary, add reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  4. Stir in grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in fresh basil leaves before serving.
